Health and wellness are fundamental to a strong community. Michael and Kiomi founded Fuel Fitness & Nutrition, Inc. to build modern, large-scale fitness centers that were accessible, clean, and comprehensively equipped. What began as a single location expanded into a major regional chain with locations in Helena, Butte, Bozeman, Billings, Coeur d'Alene, Kalispell, and Missoula.
Their facilities were built on a grand scale—often covering over 20,000 square feet—featuring state-of-the-art cardiovascular machines, weight training circuits, indoor tracks, and group exercise studios. They didn't just sell gym memberships; they provided nutrition programs, personal training, and child care services to make fitness practical for busy families.
Although Covid forced the closure of their Butte and Helena locations (and the remaining gyms transitioned to new ownership), they still proudly own the original Butte building which is now under a 30-year lease with Dollar Tree. Fuel Fitness left a lasting footprint on the active lifestyles and wellness habits of thousands of residents throughout the Inland Northwest.
